PROJECT DESCRIPTION
42nd Street and 4th Avenue in Brooklyn is just a few blocks away from Industry City, the newest development in the borough with restaurants and shops within the design-based hub. Revitalizing the subway access to the Sunset Park neighborhood has proved to be crucial to bringing traffic to the once solely, as the name implies, industrial shipping, warehousing, and manufacturing facility. The 71 acres was even used as a United States Navy Base in the First World War. ATI partnered with El Sol Contracting to perform all high strength bolting inspections as well as all concrete sampling and testing of the revitalization project of the Metropolitan Transit Authority’s tunnel rehab initiative.
