INTERNSHIP POSITIONS

Job Description

Interns will assist the field inspectors by performing soil, concrete or other materials testing functions on various construction sites in and around New York City. On a part time basis, students have the opportunity to join a project team performing meaningful work under the guidance of highly qualified professionals.

Job Requirements

  • Amaracon’s field technician is responsible for daily testing and inspections services at sites throughout the New York Metro region.

  • Must write field reports in a timely, precise and efficient manner.

  • The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.

Prior Experience and Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and be organized and efficient with turnaround of reports.

  • Must have access to an insured vehicle and valid driver’s license.

FIELD TECHNICIAN

Job Description

The field inspector position will perform soil, concrete or other materials testing functions on various construction sites in and around New York City.

  • Two to five years’ experience in the materials testing and special inspections field is preferred, but not mandatory. Training to obtain additional certifications will be provided by the company.

  • Must be self-motivated and be organized and efficient with turnaround of reports

  • Pay increases upon successful completion of certifications.

  • Must have access to an insured vehicle and valid driver’s license.

PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Description

The Project Engineer will join our growing team with a role in performing special inspections and materials testing for Amaracon. The Project Engineer assists and supports The President, Vice President, Lab Manager, and Senior Project Engineer on assigned projects. The position performs daily special inspections and testing as needed and efficiently outlines results through reports. The Project Engineer must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. In the performance of this function, the Project Engineer is responsible for protecting and promoting the interests of both the business and client in all matters as well as demonstrating the personal characteristics of a developing leader.

Job Requirements

  • Amaracon’s project engineer is responsible for daily testing and inspections services at sites throughout the New York Metro region.

  • Must write field reports in a timely, precise and efficient manner.

  • The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.

  • Develop industry relationships and expand professional networks that have potential to generate opportunities for Amaracon.

  • Continually seek to understand and meet customer goals and needs and act with determination in demonstrating value to meet them.

Prior Experience and Skills

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited university with a focus in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • Professional Engineer License from N.Y.S.

  • Two plus years’ experience in the materials testing and special inspections field is preferred, but not mandatory. Training to obtain additional certifications will be provided by the company.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and be organized and efficient with turnaround of reports.

  • Pay increases upon successful completion of certifications.

  • Must have Access to an insured vehicle and valid driver’s license.
