PROJECT DESCRIPTION
New York’s Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is vital to keeping the city running and as clean as possible. With so many residents and working commuters in and out of the five boroughs every day rubbish is an ever apparent issue, and since 1881 the hardworking men and women of the DSNY have kept the city running like the well-oiled machine it is removing waste, recycling, and even snow. Amaracon performed concrete sampling and testing at the North Shore Marine Transfer Station in Flushing, Queens (pictured above) along with several other jobs around the New York Metropolitan area. Amaracon wanted to ensure that the buildings at the true heart of the city, the DSNY, were to the utmost standard to strength and quality and able to handle years of use for whatever may be thrown its way.
