PROJECT DESCRIPTION
2868 Webster Ave marks the second phase of Douglaston Development’s ground lease project with the New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) in the Bedford Park neighborhood of the Bronx. Adjacent to Phase I, this newly constructed, 12-story, 277-unit, mixed-use building will provide affordable multifamily housing.
The building will encompass a total of 250,000 square feet, including 8,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. This retail space is expected to merge with the 12,000 square feet of retail space from Phase I, creating a 20,000 square foot fresh food grocery store for the community. The residential units will cater to families earning up to 80% of the area median income and will feature on-site social services, laundry facilities, a fitness center, parking, and green roofs.
